About

Ivy Miller is a biracial actor of Vietnamese and European descent from Calgary, Alberta, currently based in Toronto, Ontario. She recently completed a residency at the Canadian Film Centre as part of the 2022-23 Actors Conservatory cohort, where she wrote and starred in the short film Violet.

In 2019, she wrote, directed, and starred in the short film Phone Call, which won Best Comedy Super Short at the Alternative Film Festival in Toronto. The next year, she directed and improvised solo in Izzy’s Vlog for Telus Storyhive, which she created in the span of a month after her funded web series pilot, Super Roommates, was cancelled due to the pandemic.

Her other acting credits include a series regular role in web series Summer’s Monster (Telus Optik, Tubi), a series recurring role in web series Ming’s Dynasty (Fuse TV, CBC Gem), the lead in short films Faded and Stages of Recovery, and a supporting role in the feature Events Transpiring Before, During, and After a High School Basketball Game (Calgary International Film Festival, Vancouver International Film Festival, Cinéfest Sudbury). Ivy also holds a BA in Creative Writing from the University of Winchester.
